On Monday evening, September 15, 2025, with the gracious authorization of His Excellency General Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, and at the invitation of his American counterpart, His Excellency Lieutenant General DOK Sopha, Rector of the National Defence University, departed via the VIP gate of Techo International Airport (TIA) to attend a seminar commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS), to be held from September 16–19, 2025, in Hawaii, United States of America. The National Defence University extends its best wishes to His Excellency the Rector for a safe and successful mission, and trusts that his participation will yield significant benefits for the University and contribute to the advancement of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces as a whole.
On the morning of Thursday, September 4, 2025, His Excellency Lieutenant General DOK Sopha, Rector of the National Defence University, welcomed and presented Khmer language certificates to two military students from the People’s Republic of China, who successfully completed one year of study at the College of Social Sciences and Languages.
According to Prakas No. 035 BRK.MOD dated 20 August 2025 on the awarding of Bachelor’s Degrees in Khmer, and Prakas No. 017/0825 BL on the presentation of certificates of commendation by the Ministry of National Defence, the National Defence University, with the College of Social Sciences and Languages as the organizer, held a ceremony on the morning of Wednesday, 3 September 2025. The event marked the conferral of the 9th Batch of Bachelor’s Degrees in Khmer, along with certificates and letters of commendation, to 24 outstanding foreign military students from Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam, who had successfully completed all graduation requirements. The ceremony was conducted under the high chairmanship of His Excellency Lieutenant General DOK Sopha, Rector of the National Defence University.
On the morning of Tuesday, 2 September 2025, the National Defence University convened a meeting on the composition and management structure of the National Defence University Youth Working Group. The meeting was held under the high chairmanship of His Excellency Lieutenant General DOK Sopha, Rector of the University, at the National Defence University Library Auditorium.
On the morning of Friday, August 22, 2025, the College of Social Sciences and Languages (CSSL) of the National Defence University of Cambodia, in collaboration with the Royal Australian Defence Force, held the official closing ceremony of the 2025 Regional English Language School Seminar under the co-chairmanship of His Excellency Lieutenant General DOK Sopha, Rector of the National Defence University, and Group Captain Tony Peck, Chief of the Australian Defence Attaché Office in the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the CSSL auditorium. It is worth noting that the week-long seminar was jointly organized by the CSSL and the Royal Australian Defence Force to share and exchange best practices in English language teaching, with participants from ten countries: Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, and Vietnam. Finally, the National Defence University expresses its deep appreciation to all delegates, especially the Royal Australian Defence Force through the Defence Attaché Office of the Australian Embassy in Cambodia, for their cooperation and hard work in ensuring the smooth and successful organization of the seminar. The National Defense University wishes all delegates of the 2025 Regional English Language School Seminar a safe journey home.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, August 11, 2025, the National Defense University was honored to welcome delegates from ten countries attending the Regional English Language School Seminar, who visited the University and carried out the following activities: 1. Paid a courtesy call and joined a solidarity dinner with His Excellency Lieutenant General DOK Sopha, Rector of the National Defense University. 2. Attended a presentation on the progress of the General English Language Training Program at the College of Social Sciences and Languages, as well as the development of the National Security Training Program. 3. Concluded their visit with a tour of the offices, centers, colleges, and conference buildings affiliated with the National Defense University. The National Defense University extends its sincere appreciation to all the delegates for taking the time to visit and wishes them great success in their endeavors and a safe return journey.
On the morning of Monday, August 18, 2025, His Excellency Lieutenant General DOK Sopha, Rector of the National Defense University, had the honor of co-presiding over the 2025 Regional English Language School Seminar with Group Captain Tony Peck, Chief of the Australian Defence Attaché Office in Cambodia, and Commander Peter Russell, Commander of the Australian Defence International Training Centre, during the official opening ceremony at the Himawari Hotel in Phnom Penh. It is worth noting that this seminar was jointly organized by the College of Social Sciences and Languages of the National Defense University of Cambodia and the Royal Australian Defence Force to share and exchange best practices in English language teaching, with participants from ten countries: Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, and Vietnam.
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, the National Defence University team delivered food supplies and essential items donated by philanthropists through the University to support frontline soldiers who are standing on the battlefield to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Cambodia. These donations were distributed to 14 border units in the first direction, as follows: 1. Division 3 Headquarters 2. Bodyguard Headquarters 3. Tank Headquarters, High Command Headquarters 4. On the afternoon of Friday, August 15, 2025, His Excellency Lieutenant General DOK Sopha, Rector of the National Defense University, graciously took time out of his busy schedule to meet with and provide recommendations, guidance, and encouragement to students and trainees from all courses of the National Defense University, urging them to study diligently, strengthen personal discipline, and become valuable human capital to serve the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in the future.

On the evening of Sunday, August 10, 2025, to express gratitude and encouragement to the Volunteer Medical Team of the National Defense University, who had sacrificed both physical and mental strength in their mission to assist refugees fleeing the armed conflict along the Cambodian–Thai border at Wat Bat Tkao, Bat Tkao Village, Chong Kal Commune, Chong Kal District, Oddar Meanchey Province, and who carried out their work with great courage, success, and pride—the leaders, military instructors, and educational staff of the National Defense University formed a line to welcome, congratulate, and thank the volunteer doctors upon their safe and successful return.
On Saturday, August 9, 2025, His Excellency Lieutenant General Dok Sopha, Rector of the National Defense University, led a senior delegation from the university to deliver food and supplies donated by generous benefactors to frontline soldiers stationed at the Ta Moan and Ta Krabei temples, who are bravely safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Cambodia.
