In the early morning of Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the invitation of the Australian Embassy in Phnom Penh, His Excellency Lieutenant General DOK Sopha, Rector of the National Defence University, led a university delegation in attending the 2026 ANZAC Day commemorative program held at the Australian Embassy in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The event honored the memory of soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in battle, as well as those currently serving in various roles, including peacekeeping missions.

It further strengthens the institution’s commitment to working alongside the Royal Government in maintaining peace, social order, and advancing national development across all sectors, under the wise, forward-looking, and pragmatic leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who is deeply respected and cherished by the Cambodian armed forces and people.
On the morning of Friday, February 27, 2026, His Excellency Lieutenant General Dok Sopha, Rector of the National Defense University, presided over a certificate awarding ceremony. On this occasion, he had the honor of presenting certificates of completion, certificates of position affiliation, public accounting skills certificates, and first-level advanced accounting certificates to students of the National Defense University who successfully graduated from the Institute of Economics and Finance.

On the morning of Friday, March 13, 2026, His Excellency Lieutenant General Dok Sopha, Rector of the National Defense University, was invited to attend a meeting under the leadership of His Excellency General Moeng Samphan, Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Defense, via a virtual system. The meeting was connected to the Plenary Session of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
From March 10 to 12, 2026, the National Defense University is conducting comprehensive examinations for four academic programs of the 2025–2026 academic year: (1) Bachelor of Information Technology, 8th batch; (2) Bachelor of Military Logistics, 11th batch; (3) Bachelor of Military Finance, 1st batch; and (4) Bachelor of Military Psychology, 11th batch. The examinations are being carried out under the strict leadership and supervision of His Excellency Lieutenant General Dok Sopha, Rector of the National Defense University, ensuring discipline, quality, transparency, and fairness throughout the examination process.
On Saturday, March 7, 2026, under the high attention of His Excellency Lieutenant General Dok Sopha, Rector of the National Defence University, a ceremony was organized to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women’s Day, March 8, 2026, under the theme “Peace and Security for Women and Families,” at the National Defence University auditorium in an atmosphere of inclusiveness and happiness.
On Friday morning, February 27, 2026, His Excellency Lieutenant General DOK Sopha, Rector of the National Defense University, had the honor of presenting academic certificates from the Royal School of Administration to the staff and students of the National Defense University who successfully graduated in 2025. It is also worth noting that the Royal School of Administration of the Ministry of Public Service signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Defense University on “Establishing Cooperation in Training and Enhancing Military Capabilities” on September 4, 2024.
On Friday afternoon, February 27, 2026, with the approval of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, the National Defense University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Tourism. The signing ceremony was held under the high chairmanship of His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and His Excellency General Phuong Siphan, Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Defense. The purpose of this MOU is to enhance the capacity and broaden the general knowledge of the university’s staff, students, and trainees in the areas of culture, tourism, and eco-tourism potential. This initiative aims to encourage their active participation in the development of Cambodia’s tourism sector, recognized as a vital smoke-free industry contributing significantly to the national economy.
On the morning of Friday, February 20, 2026, the National Defence University organized a handover and acceptance ceremony for Building C (2nd and 3rd floors) of the College of Social Sciences and Languages, which was completely renovated and refurbished with support from the Cambodia–Australian Defence Cooperation Program, under the high chairmanship of His Excellency Dok Sopha, Rector of the National Defense University, and Group Captain Tony Peck, Chief of the Australian Defence Attaché Office in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
On Thursday morning, 19 February 2026, His Excellency Lieutenant General Dok Sopha, Rector of the National Defense University, held a meeting with Lieutenant Colonel Olivier Legrand, Head of the French Defense Cooperation Mission to the Kingdom of Cambodia, to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation between the National Defense University and the French Defense College. The discussion focused on enhancing training at the Cambodian Defense College in the areas of geopolitics, leadership, and strategic and operational planning in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
